2011 Under 17 and Under 21 National Champions!
Over the Easter period,
the Eltham Lacrosse Club hosted the 2011 Under 17 Girls, Under 17 Boys, Under 19 Men and Under 21 Women's National Championship. We are very happy to announce that Victoria won ALL finals - making it four from four.

Both Under 17 and Under 21 teams went undefeated all week and that dominance continued on the final day.

Lead by Newport's own Alysha Barlow, Elise Hussey and Steph McNamara as co- captains, along with Loren Naylor and Roni Katilius, the Victorians dominated South Australia for the third time in as many games, and defending their title from 2010. Bree Hussey and Steph we also named to the tournament's Under 17 All- Star Team.

The Under 21's capped of an extremely successful day, winning the final championship convincingly and regained the title from South Australia, after losing in double overtime last year. Hayley Barlow was a cornerstone in defence and the team was assisted by Hayley Sofarnos from the sidelines.

The Juniors have certainly put the pressure on the Senior Women's and Men's State teams with four National titles.  Can the seniors maintain the high standard?  Can Victoria make it a clean sweep?
